St. Josephine Bakhita
Kidnapped and sold into slavery as a child in Sudan, Josephine endured years of cruelty before finding freedom and faith in Italy. She became a Canossian sister, known for her gentleness and her habit of kissing the baptismal font that began her new life. She forgave those who had enslaved her. She is patron of survivors of trafficking.
“If I were to meet those who kidnapped me, I would kneel and kiss their hands, for it led me to know God.”

First Time?
You're welcome here.
Here are a few things we tell everyone before their first Sunday, so nothing feels unfamiliar.
- Can I receive Communion?
- Holy Communion is for Catholics in a state of grace who are prepared to receive it, but you are welcome to come forward with your arms crossed for a blessing, or simply stay in your pew and pray with us.
- How do I become Catholic?
- The first step towards becoming a Catholic starts with a meeting with our priest. Please call the front office or go in person to schedule a meeting.
- What should I wear?
- There is no strict dress code for attending Mass, but we encourage you to dress respectfully, as the Holy Mass is a time of sacred worship.
- I'm bringing kids.
- Please do. Little ones are always welcome. The Kenny Room, located to the right of the main entrance, is available if you fear that they will be disruptive.
